Leerose Integrated Systems (STAN) - PR campaign

The brief

Following the installation of a new CCTV teacher training aid at a school in Salford, security client, Leerose Integrated Systems wanted to promote nationwide awareness of its product.

The challenge

CCTV might have Big Brother connotations, but for this audience it has tangible benefits. STAN capitalised on the headline-generating potential of the story by undertaking a carefully managed PR campaign with targeted media.

PR response

STAN secured a major in-depth profile of the system by The Independent's Education Supplement, which included interviews with the school's staff, pupils and governors. This resulted in a lead cover story and double-page spread, which STAN used to leverage additional coverage at both a national and regional level.

Results

Subsequently, the story was featured as the front page lead in the Manchester Evening News, attracting broadcast coverage on Sky News, BBC North West Tonight and Manchester's Channel M, and further national press coverage in The Daily Telegraph, Daily Mail and The Sun. With careful management from STAN, Leerose branding was maintained throughout the coverage, ensuring maximum awareness, interest and enquiries for the new system.
