PSP Rare finds harmony with The Sound Agency

January 14th, 2010

Leading customer publishing agency PSP Rare has teamed up with pioneering sound branding consultancy The Sound Agency to deliver a fantastic new service for clients.

The Sound Agency is the first brand communication agency in the UK to provide BrandSound™ for business, from bespoke in-shop soundscapes to effective and productive office sound, as well as the use of audio in multimedia marketing.

“Sound affects customers and prospects profoundly,” said Julian Treasure, managing director of The Sound Agency. “Sonic logos such as the Intel sound, or Tony the Tiger saying ‘They’re grrrrrr-eat!’, have long been used to create brands that people recognise and remember.”

“Now, using the latest scientific study to understand the psychology behind sound, The Sound Agency goes further and uses this expertise to create sound that’s specifically designed to be congruent with other brand expressions, delivering a consistent multisensory brand experience and producing a favourable emotional response.”

The strategic partnership between PSP Rare and The Sound Agency is intended to enhance offerings to both businesses’ clients.

“All aspects of a brand must harmonise for a business to flourish,” said Grahame Lake, managing director of PSP Rare. “PSP Rare leads the UK publishing market for embracing new media, and teaming up with The Sound Agency lets us offer an inimitable level of brand communication.”

Earlier this year, PSP Rare bought a stake in digital communications agency STAN, and has used this partnership to produce interactive digital offerings for its clients, including the British Heart Foundation and the TDA’s Teach magazine.
