PSP Rare cooks up new BHF book deal

October 14th, 2009

Leading contract publishing company, PSP Rare has been commissioned by its long-term client, British Heart Foundation (BHF) to produce a new recipe book of healthy meal options as part of the charity’s wider promotion of heart healthy lifestyles.

The A5 book, to be released this month, will be distributed through traditional BHF channels including its charity shops and to subscriber members of its Heart Matters service, which provides free tailormade support to anyone concerned about heart health.

The new cook book covers the full range of healthy and tasty meal options, from breakfast to supper, and is targeted more at older couples with the recipes and ingredients based on meals for two rather than the traditional family of four.

The recipe book will complement BHF’s other promotional activity including online advice and downloads and consumer magazines such as ‘heart matters’, one of several titles which PSP Rare has produced for the charity in recent years.

PSP Rare’s Marc Bates, who is coordinating the recipe book’s production said: “Although we have a longstanding relationship with BHF to produce magazines we are delighted to have received this first book commission from the charity.  Our understanding of the client’s brief and the need to come up with creative recipe content make this a very exciting project for us.”
