PSP lands contract for new Spurs magazine, hotspur

July 14th, 2006

Publishing house, PSP Communications have been appointed to produce Tottenham Hotspur’s new club magazine. PSP Communications will produce the monthly hotspur, in close co-operation with the club, enjoying exclusive access to players, coaches and the training ground.

“We felt that the club magazine needed a change and a fresher look,” explained Tottenham Hotspur head of publications, John Fennelly. “As the tender was due for renewal, this was the perfect opportunity to investigate how we could make the product more appealing to more fans. Certainly PSP Communications’ approach was exactly what we were looking for both in terms of the production, editorial and cost.”

hotspur will be a high-quality monthly publication, featuring stylish, creative design trends more akin to men’s lifestyle magazines than the football press. It will endeavour to bring the fans an extra dimension not found in match-day programmes or on the club’s website – channels that traditionally focus on match-related stories.

“This is a great club, with a fine tradition and a great brand. We are thrilled to be given the opportunity to give the supporters a magazine of which they can be proud. This magazine will set the standards for football publishing and reflect the fact that we are working in one of the most exciting periods in the Club’s history,” said Graham Lake, managing director of PSP Communications.
