Bigger and better Somerfield magazine

September 4th, 2007

Rare Publishing has relaunched the award-winning Somerfield magazine.

The magazine, available free to shoppers at Somerfield stores, is the third most-read women’s interest magazine in the UK. From the September issue the magazine will be packed with loads of new features, from great value recipes for everyday eating and recipes for special occasions, to real-life stories, celebrity gossip and even Russell Grant horoscopes telling readers what they’ll be eating each month. As well as new features the Somerfield magazine has also had an exciting redesign to provide a pacier read.

Because Somerfield magazine readers are regularly asked what they would like in their magazine, the Somerfield magazine continually evolves. This ensures that the magazine is perfectly tuned to readers’ needs. It currently has 2.7 million readers an issue. In terms of effectiveness, research proves that readers of the Somerfield magazine spend three times more at Somerfield than non-readers and visit Somerfield three times more often than those who don’t read the magazine.

Somerfield magazine editor, Hannah Smith, says: “This is the biggest shake-up the Somerfield magazine has had for many years. The changes are designed to make more Somerfield shoppers read and value the magazine and inspire more people to shop more frequently at Somerfield.”
